Bristol International Airport passenger numbers broke the three million mark in 2002.
This was largely due to the arrival of the low-cost airline Go Fly. With Easyjet and Ryanair
continuing the expansion passengers increased to 3.8 million.
In May 2005 Continental Airlines introduced direct flights from Bristol to New York.
Bristol International is located 8 miles south of Bristol City Centre.
