Brandenburger Tor Distance: 2 miles
the Brandenburg Gate was in fact opened on 22 December 1989.Since the eastern part of Berlin was cordoned off from the western part the Wall blocked access to the Gate, wich is now located in the middle of the Wall's death-strip.
Potzdammer Platz Distance: 2 miles
From Potsdamer Platz, the visitor enters the district as if through a city gate. Two tower buildings frame the Alte Potsdamer Strasse, which here again follows its pre-war line.
