| Hotel Description: | RELAX IN THE COUNTRY in a swimming poll situated on a hill at 600 metres above sea level facing the little Tuscan town.
Montepulciano known as the 'pearl of l5th century' thanks to the outstanding value of its Renaissance art.
From the hotel marvellous position and in relaxing in the swimming pool in the garden one can enjoy not only one of the most beautiful views over Tuscany's hills and lakes, but also the most famous artistic centres of central Italy. Our clients are able to relax without hearing a single noise, and to awake hearing birds singing.
The hotel with a spas swimming pool in a large garden is within an hour of Siena, Florence and Perugia and less than two from Rome.
The position is ideal not only as a cultural holiday destination for the independent traveller but also for group tours heading for the major centres such as Florence and Siena. Spending one night with us makes it possible to visit Montepulciano and taste the famous Vino Nobile, visit Pienza-uNESCO world city 1997 - and set off the next morning for Florence (1 hour), Siena (1 hour) or Rome (2 hours). In this way, the Tour Operator can satisfy a number of wishes of the client in search of something a little different from the usual tour, and at the same time save on costs. In fact, our prizes are far more competitive than similar hotels in larger cities. We are also able to satisfy the requirements of clients with an interest in thermal spa holidays.
Our region has a rich variety of spa centres providing natural sulphur waters used for the treatment of various disturbances (ear, nose and throat, pneumobronchial illnesses, gynaecology, dermatology) and which emerge from the ground at high temperatures. The white, calcium coated rocks of the gorges are reminiscent, albeit on a smaller scale, of the grandiose examples in Pamukkele, Turkey. Even the monastic or religious tourist will find great satisfaction. The area around Montepulciano boasts a number of beautiful churches, such as San Biagio, one of Antonio da Sangallo's most impressive works (1545) or the abbey of Sant'Antimo, a 12th century monastic complex, or again Sant'Anna in Camprena with frescos by Sodoma and where the Oscar-winning film 'The English Patient' was filmed. | | Getting There: |
