Piazza dell' Erbe Distance: 5 miles
Originally a major Roman crossroads and the site of the forum, it is still the heart of the city. The variety of buildings framing the square is stunning. Most striking is the Domus Mercatorum, founded in 1301. The square is breathtaking at night.
Arena di Verona Distance: 5 miles
The elliptical amphitheater, dates from the 1st century A.D. Four arches of the 'outer circle' and a complete 'inner ring' still stand. The acoustics are perfect, even after all these centuries, performances still can be conducted without microphones.
Juliet's House (Casa di Giulietta) Distance: 6 miles
See the home, and immediately imagine Romeo saying, 'But, soft! What light through yonder window breaks?' The house was acquired by the city in 1905. There is a tradition that calls for visitors to rub the statue of juliets right breast as they pass.
Castelvecchio Distance: 8 miles
