La Carihuela is the original fisherman's district of Torremolinos, sample some of the best seafood available in the region. There's a promenade here which extends as far as the Puerto Deportivo and which connects La Carihuela with Playamar beach area.
Benalmadena Distance: 12 miles
The original heart of Benalmadena remains as a typical Andaluz village in the foothills of the mountains which sweep down to the shore. The narrow, flower-filled streets hold plenty of traces of the former civilisations which used to exist in the area.
