Built in 1835 as a Malt House for the local Radford brewery, The Old Malt House Hotel is now privately owned by Tim and Jo Wright. It is situated in the small hamlet of Radford surrounded by beautiful countryside just 6 miles from the historic city of Bath.
From the moment you set foot in The Old Malt House, you will be greeted with a warm, friendly welcome and it will be our pleasure to ensure that your stay with us will be enjoyable and relaxing.
The accommodation comprises of 10 tastefully decorated bedrooms, all of which have en-suite bath/shower rooms, colour televisions, tea and coffee making facilities and stunning views across the countryside. Two of our twin rooms are located on the ground floor giving easier access for our guests who are less mobile.
The hotel benefits from ample free parking, a fully licensed restaurant and cosy lounge bar with open fire place.
In the restaurant, we offer a full a la carte menu and a comprehensive selection of wines, all of which are competitively priced.

From the M4 Motorway: Leave the motorway at Junction 18 and head towards Bath on the A46. Leave the A46 at the sign to Bath and at the roundabout take the 3rd exit towards Bath on the A4. Follow the A4 towards Bath. At the large traffic light junction take the left hand lane signed Through Traffic. At the 1st roundabout turn right and at the 2nd roundabout go straight ahead (signed Wells). Keep going straight ahead through a small perade of shops and get into the left hand lane. At the railway arch junction turn left signed A367 Radstock. Keep on this road for several miles and at the 1st roundabout take the 2nd exit at the next roundabout take the 3rd exit signed A367.
After approximately 1 mile turn right onto the B3115 towards Tunley and Timsbury. Go through the village of Tunley keeping on the B3115, after passing the Camerton Inn on your right take the 2nd turning left (on a very sharp bend) signed Radford. Go down the lane for approximately half a mile and take the 2nd left and the hotel can be found 50 yds on the left.
From the North on the M5 Motorway: Leave the M5 at junction 15 and pick up the M4 East (London) and then follow the instructions as above for M4.
From the South on the M5 Motorway: Leave the motorway at junction 23 and head towards Wells/glastonbury.
Remain on the A39 going through Chewton Mendip, once you reach Farrington Gurney turn right at the traffic lights onto the A362 towards Midsomer Norton/radstock. At the 1st roundabout (by Tesco) go straight ahead and at the 2nd roundabout turn left onto the B3355 to Paulton. Continue into Paulton and at the mini roundabout (The Red Lion Pub) turn right and continue along the lane, pass the Somerset Inn on your right and after approximately 1 mile take the first turning right and the hotel can be found 50 yds on the left.
From Salisbury Direction: Head towards Warminster on the A36 towards Frome.
Remain on the A362 through Frome and head towards Radstock. Once you have reached Radstock at the double mini roundabout turn right onto the A367 towards Bath. Pass the Radstock Hotel and take the 2nd turning left towards Clandown (you will see a sign for the Hotel). Drive through Clandown until you reach a small cross roads, continue straight across and after approximately one and a half miles the hotel can be found on the right. | | Local Attractions: | Bath Distance: 9 miles
