From the moment you arrive at the Marstan Hotel, you will recognise that attention to detail is elevated to a fine art.

The Villa, built in 1850, is set in a secluded, flower-filled garden which houses a tropically heated swimming pool and open air luxury spa for the benefit of our guests.
Our guests often enjoy high or cream teas on the lawn served in finest Bone China or indulge in a glass or two of Champagne by the pool.
The rooms are appointed to a high standard and are all en-suite. A refurbishment programme in 2005 has seen the addition of luxury bathrooms and upgraded bedrooms. The entire hotel has a warm homely atmosphere and is filled with fine antiques and paintings acquired over the years by the owners.

 BY CAR:
Coming from Exeter, follow the A380 towards Torquay. At the junction of the A3022 follow the signs for the Sea Front. When you reach the Sea Front make a left turn onto Torbay Road. Follow Torbay Road to the third roundabout (this is just past Debenhams). Turn left at this roundabout onto Babbacombe Road. Make a right turn at the next traffic lights onto Meadfoot Road, which then becomes Meadfoot Sea Road. Our hotel is on the right hand side, just 3 minutes up the road. | | Restaurant Information: |  | Welcome to the Crystal Room - the most stunning room in the hotel. In the morning the sunlit room becomes a magical setting for the perfect breakfast. You are greeted by friendly staff, who will escort you to a table set for royalty.
A fresh tropical flower in a bud vase rests on an Egyptian cotton covered table, decked with newly polished cutlery, fine China and European crystal glasses.
The room is filled with the aroma of freshly brewed Columbian coffee, mixed with our homemade blueberry muffins baking in the oven. Whilst savouring the delightful choices of the morning, you are subconsciously put at ease by the sounds of Strauss, Vivaldi and Chopin. A perfect start to a perfect day.
The Marstan is proud to add that the AA has voted our breakfasts as one of the top 100 in all Britain.
In the evening, the guests make their way down to the dining room where the crystal sparkles like diamonds in the candlelight.
A magnificently set table of silver, crystal and china awaits you. Dinner is a 5 course, silver service, gourmet event - a gastronomic experience.
All our dishes are home made: typically we have a choice of three to four options per course and our wine list and cuisine pleases the most discerning of palates. |

Breast of duck with plum sauce served on a bed of braised red cabbage and onion marmalade.
Penne served in a rich tomato sauce with chorizo, black olives and mixed peppers topped with shaved parmesan.Dessert, Rich chocolate torte.
