The Kings Arms Hotel is one of the oldest establishments in Lockerbie, dating from the 17th Century. Bonnie Prince Charlie stayed here in 1745 & Sir Walter Scott in 1813. The Hotel has catered for weary travellers since the times when horse drawn coaches would pass through the wide passageway to the stable beyond ( the undercover parking area today).
