It is situated in beautiful Annandale, just a mile from Gretna Green with its famous wedding centre. Although part of Dumfries and Galloway in south-west Scotland, the hotel remains easily accessible from the motorway.
The Days Inn Gretna Green is the ideal base for exploring the beautiful Lake District and the Scottish Borders. Nearby there is an array of interesting shops, museums and markets to visit.
In little under an hour you will find yourself in the heart of all England, Hexham, a traditional market town which was home to Hadrian and the Roman Empire.
The Lake District is a pleasant day trip away, with excursions possible by cruise boat and steam train. The Scottish Borders country towns of Jedburgh and Melrose are close by with Glasgow and Edinburgh about an hour away, making it a suprisingly convenient sightseeing and shopping trip not to be missed. The city of Newcastle upon Tyne and County Durham are also approximately 1 hour away from the hotel.
