The Star Inn at Alfriston is reputed to be one of the country's oldest Inns.
Built in the 1345, it's first recorded refurbishment was in 1450! Since that time it has seen many changes, and today offers its guests a unique blend of oak beams, open fires, intimate atmosphere and traditional hospitality alongside the modern comforts of its well appointed guest accommodation. Dating from 1345 which makes it one of England's oldest hostelries, the half-timbered Star Inn is in Alfriston's centre - ideal for the South Down's Trail, opera at Glyndebourne or the Newhaven-dieppe ferry.  Take the best route out of London and join the M23 South.Continue until the M23 becomes the A23. Continue for 20 Miles and take the A27 towards Lewes and Polegate. Continue for 15 Miles until you reach Drusillas Zoo Roundabout. Turn right on to the B2108 and continue until you reach Alfriston. The Star Inn is on the right hand side. | | Business Facilities: |
The Heritage Room is located on the first floor of the oldest part of the Inn and is available for private parties & meetings of up to 30 guests. Any of the business service are subject to availibilty and may incur a supplementary charge.
