The Montagu Arms can trace its origins back to the 17th century, including atmospheric period features from panelled walls to beamed ceilings. The 23 luxurious traditionally-decorated bedrooms (some with four-posters!) are a delight. Guests can dine in the cosy atmosphere of Monty's bar and brasserie, or enjoy the award winning Terrace Restaurant with views over a splendid terraced garden.
The Montagu Arms is located close to the M27, Southampton and Bournemouth airports and is a good base for discovering the South. Adventurous visitors can strike out for Dorchester and Thomas Hardy country to the west, head north to ancient Stonehenge and the cathedral cities of Salisbury and Winchester or travel east to Portsmouth's Royal Naval Dockyard. Closer to home are the glorious Exbury Gardens and Lymington's steep cobbled streets, Saturday market and ferries to the Isle of Wight. The National Motor Museum at the Montagu family estate is right on the doorstep.
Residents have included in their rate access to a Private Spa located only six miles from the hotel through one of the most beautiful parts of the New Forest.
The facilities available include swimming pool, poolside sauna, steam room and jacuzzi as well as state of the art gymnasium. Residents must be over the age of 16 years to use these facilities.

 From London: Follow the M3, bypassing Winchester and join the M27 westbound, following signs to Bournemouth.
Leave the M27 at Junction 2, and turn left at the roundabout, following brown Tourist Board signs for the National Motor Museum and Beaulieu (A326)
Continue along the A326 until Dibden Purlieu, and turn right at the roundabout onto the B3054 signposted to Beaulieu

The Terrace is our fine dining restaurant, with 2 AA Rosettes it has a beautiful view over our terraced gardens. Here we offer a daily Table D'Hote Menu as well as a Seasonal A'la Carte Menu.
Monty's Bar and Brasserie on the other hand is slightly more informal. With a warm and friendly atmosphere it offers a lovely A'la Carte Menu with something to suit everyones Taste.

Children under 12 staying in their own room will receive 25% off the normal rate. Children over 12 will be charged normal rates.
Extra beds which are put in a room are charged at 25 per person and 10 per cot.
Children must be over the age of 8 to dine in the Terrace restauarant in the evening. However we can provide dining in Monty's our Brasserie and room service is also available.
