Room Information:
Modest, small but comfortable rooms with dark green carpets and lime green walls; with attractive flowery duvets and matching pillow-cases. They have compact showers & W.C.s as well as basins. Colour TV and tea & coffee making facilities. Alarm clocks in most rooms.
Restaurant Information:
We have a Dining Room which is used for Breakfast - vegetarian food always available.
However, the 'Six Bells' pub next door normally serve good, inexpensive food between 12.00 & 8.00 p m midweek, & approx 12.00 & 7.00 at weekends.
Many other good, but inexpensive, restaurants(Italian, Chinese and Indian, as well as English, cuisine) also within walking distance of us, as well as a selection of Take Away outlets/ Burger King and traditional Fish & Chips.
Hotel Policies:
Pets allowed - by prior agreement. Customers wishing to check here in after 8.00 p m need to contact us at least 24 hrs in advance,please. No Smoking in public areas and only in selected bedrooms. Minimal noise requested from clients catching early morning taxis to Heathrow - other customers have a hard day's work ahead of them and need undisturbed sleep. Thanks for your consideration.
Business Facilities:
No phones in rooms, but clients who do not have mobiles with them can be contacted by telephone in our Dining Room downstairs. Outgoing phone calls can be made with a phone card from this phone too.
WiFi Broadband internet access available in most of our rooms.
P C available for customers wishing to check their e-mails in our office at Oakwood - on a fairly brief basis. The We can only offer very limited business facilities her, but West Drayton Post Office is very close by, as well as a full Copy and Fax Centre a little further away down Station Road, West Drayton. Kew Royal Botanic Gardens Distance: 11 miles Three hundred acres containing collections of over 40,000 varieties of plants. Also seven glasshouses and two art galleries, Japanese and rock garden etc. A must for Gardening Enthusiasts
Windsor Castle Distance: 12 miles Fabulous historic Royal Castle steeped in history. Lovely town of Windsor with great shops & good restaurants & pubs, etc. Walk across the pedestrian bridge over pretty River Thames & explore the antique shops and quaint pubs in Eton.
Legoland Windsor Distance: 15 miles Fantastic Lego model park for children of all ages. Makes for a most enjoyable and educational Family Day Out. Superb facilities.
Getting There:
On arrival at Heathrow, please call our local inexpensive West Drayton taxi company - LHR Cars, arrange precisely where they should pick you up, and also give them your mobile phone no, if possible. LHR Cars will collect you and drop you off here for approximately 8.00 (slightly more if you fly into Terminal 4). If you jump into any (black) taxi at Heathrow, please realize that you risk paying twice as much - be very firm about agreeing a reasonable fare before leaving the airport [10.00 - 12.00]!
From the M4:
Take J4 (Uxbridge A408/ Heathrow) from the M4.
Keep left & concentrate HARD at un-userfriendly traffic light roundabout! Take 2nd filter on left into Cherry Lane, with arrowhead pointing left, towards West Drayton - Crowne Plaza ahead of you, & Novotel to your left. Drive straight down Cherry Lane, which then becomes Sipson Road, & straight through 2 small traffic lights after 'Costcutter' parade of shops on left.
Past 'Fox & Pheasant' pub on right & then a blue Gulf garage on right. Oakwood Guest House is on right, next to the 'Six Bells' pub.
We have 3 compact Parking Spaces available on either side of our front door, on Station Road.
Secure, longer-term parking available behind the guest house. Turn right just before Chas Cameron Lettings, into Brandville Road; turn right immediately afterwards, into Bellclose Road & then immediately right again, into the mesh gated car park (with green garage doors ahead of you).

From UXBRIDGE:
From the M40, take Exit 1 at hectic Denham roundabout & then take A4020 towards Uxbridge. At 2nd roundabout/ traffic light complex in Uxbridge at Capital Court/mANPOWER, take the A408 towards Cowley & Yiewsley - to right.
Drive through Cowley & continue along A408 suburban road a few miles - past Esso/ Tesco Express Garage on left, and then various warehouses on right, until you reach big traffic lights in Yiewsley, with Iceland and Aldi on your right.
Continue through Yiewsley - past Woolworths & HSBC on your left, over Canal bridge & past West Drayton Station on left & then past a Spar supermarket on left-hand corner. Shortly after a grey Lance Owen Vauxhall garage on right, just past Brandville Road on the left, you will see Oakwood Guest House on the left - just before the 'Six Bells' pub.

FROM HEATHROW AIRPORT BY LOCAL BUS;
please take the U3 from Stand 18 at Heathrow Bus Station/ 5 buses per hour run to West Drayton.
Pay the driver 1.20p, and get off by the 'Burger King' in Station Road, West Drayton [journey time aprox 12 minutes].
Then cross over Station Road and turn right; walk past a Spar supermarket on the corner, past 2 small Indian restaurants, cross straight over Brandville Rd. and we are on your left next ot the the silver grey shutters - just before the 'Six Bells' pub.
FROM PADDINGTON BY TRAIN:
Please take a Thames Train towards Reading, Oxford and Slough, normally leaving from Platform 13 or 14 to the right-hand side of Paddington station - 4 trains per hour mid-week, journey time 25 mins.
Check platform screens carefully before getting onto the train in London!
From West Drayton station to us is a 5 minute walk. Turn left and left again under the railway bridge; walk a few hundred yards - past the fruit and veg shops, past a Spar supermarket on the corner, then pass 2 small Indian restaurants on your left, with the grey Lance Owen Vauxhall garage on your right. Then cross straight over Brandville Road and the Guest House is on your left - just before the 'Six Bells' pub.
If you leave the Station via the Back exit, walk straight ahead, into Warwick Road for a short way and then bear right toward the Gentlemens Barber shop.
Turn left at the corner into Station Road by 'Flowers by Ellisa' opposite red Threshers shop, and you will then arive at the Spar Supermarket, etc. etc. as above.
FROM LONDON BY PICCADILLY TUBE/ BLUE UNDERGROUND LINE:
Alternatively, if you travel into London Kings Cross or Euston stations, take the comfortable, blue Picadilly Line all the way to Heathrow Terminals 1, 2 & 3 without any changes. From Heathrow underground station you can either call LHR Cars from the train to pick you up by the station; or cross over to Heathrow Bus Station - beside the Underground Stn, and hop onto a U3 bus to get to West Drayton, at Stand 18.
